‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ Author Dies

R.A. Montgomery, the author and publisher of the popular Choose Your Own Adventure book series, died on Nov. 9 at the age of 78 at his home in Vermont.

Montgomery’s books featured options for readers to choose different decisions throughout the story, leading to different outcomes and ultimately, conclusions. He believed the books taught students how to fully engage with a book.
