One person was killed and nine were injured in a shooting on New Orleans’ famed Bourbon Street early Sunday morning. Two men were immediately arrested at the scene, just after 1:30 a.m. local time. The victims range in age from 20 to 37, a police official said.
“Very tragic, unacceptable set of circumstances,” New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said. “Totally unacceptable. The violence continues to spin out of control.” Bourbon Street is usually bustling and crowded at the time of night when the shooting took place. Read more at THE ADVOCATE.
