10 Dead in US Plane Crash in Afghanistan

USA-AFGHANISTAN/BERGDAHLA U.S. military transport plane crashed at an Afghanistan airport and left 10 people dead, a U.S military spokesman said on Thursday.

Among those killed were the plane’s crew of five U.S. military service members and five passengers, who were civilian contractors working for the NATO-led mission to train Afghan security forces.

The C-130 plane crashed around midnight at Jalalabad airport, but the cause was not immediately clear. The offical added there were no reports of enemy fire at the time of the incident. Read more.
