A $100 million lawsuit has been filed against Levi Aron, killer of Leiby Kletzky z”l, Matzav.com has learned. The lawsuit, filed in a New York court by Reb Nachman Kletzky, father of 8-year-old Leiby, was first filed last August, almost a year ago, but proceedings in the case did not begin until this month.
Aron has confessed to the murder. He is being held at Riker’s Island as he awaits trial.
The lawsuit, which describes the horrific nature of last summer’s tragedy, calls for compensation for the pain and suffering endured by young Leiby, as well as the unspeakable suffering and trauma that the family experienced.
The lawsuit, filed after consultation with rabbonim, names both Levi Aron and his father, Mr. Jack Aron. The latter, the suit states, maintained “dangerous and deadly conditions” in the attic of his Kensington home and did not prevent the kidnapping or recover the young boy after he was take from a Boro Park street and then hidden in the Aron house.
The trial for the younger Aron, which had been slated to start seven months ago, was postponed upon a request for change of venue from the defense team, which claimed that Aron would not receive a fair trial in Brooklyn. That request was later rejected. However, after jury selection, the court will again consider possibly moving the jury out of Brooklyn.

May the family find Nechama.
Can anyone explain the legal purpose of the award when it is very likely that this can never be paid?
May they have a nechama
when is the trial for this subhuman individual?
the suit is to prevent the rotzeiach and any member of his family from making money with their story

#7, the legal purpose is as follows. This sub human Aron, after being convicted and tossed into jail for the rest of his miserable life, will want to do interviews and possibly a movie or book deal. This law suit will prevent him or his family from gaining a penny for the rest of their lives. While it is no comfort whatso ever, it at least prevents the family from profiting from this tragedy.
May Hashem give the Kletzky’s strentgh to continue.
