yom-haatzmaut-koselYerushalayim – About 10,000 people are estimated to have attended the central Yom Haatzmaut prayer session at the Kosel last night.

Arutz Sheva reported that those who attended the gathering were addressed by Deputy Religious Minister Eliyahu Ben Dahan, who quoted Rav  Tzvi Yehuda Hacohen Kook, who said that on the original Yom Haatzmaut – on Iyar 5, 5708, according to the Hebrew calendar – “the courage of the Nation of Israel to stand up to its friends was revealed; The courage and bravery of the leaders of the country to declare, against all odds, the establishment of the state of Israel, and the spiritual strength to overcome the fears.”

The central Yom Haatzmaut prayer was led, as it is every year, by Rabbi Uri Sherki and Rabbi Yehuda Ben Yishai.

  1. “and the spiritual strength to overcome the fears.” Amen v Amen.

Return us to the days of old with the Gedolim of the caliber and understanding of the Nissim and Nefalos of Am Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel.

written by someonewho put tefillin on a dog.

They also changed the last line to make it yet more secularist.

It is considered a mediocre piece of verse.

  3. Independence Day?! How come it is celebrated under the Har Habais, not on top of the Har Habais – in the newly rebuilt Beis Hamikdosh?! As long as there is the golden orla on our mountain, Yom Haatzmaut is a sad joke.

Remove the faucets of your own sufferings before you comment on those of someone else. Be warned that Hashem does not take well to a evil remark and the Hatikva is hallowed.
