Severe winds brought down a 227-year-old tree planted by George Washington on his Mount Vernon estate on Friday.

Wind gusts of up to 70 miles per hour brought down the Canadian hemlock, which was planted by Washington, the founding father and first U.S. president, in 1791.

  1. Mad feeling of course to the estate. This world is only here for a while. They lived well and did great things. We might want to look at this and wonder what we might leave anyone in the future. It might be a prayer to Hashem to honor his estate. I recommend a donation.
