At least eight Jewish community centers in the U.S. received bomb threats on Monday, according to several news reports, NEWMAX reports.
Authorities said JCCs in Miami, Miami Beach, Tenafly, New Jersey, Jacksonville, Fla., Washington D.C. suburb Rockville, Wilmington, Del., Nashville, Tenn., and Columbia, S.C., reported receiving bomb threats over the phone. All were evacuated and reopened when no bombs were found on the premises.
CBS Miami reported that two Jewish community centers, Dave & Mary Alper Jewish Community Center and Miami Beach Jewish Community Center, were evacuated when threats were called in on Monday morning.
