palin1The state of Alaska will release 24,199 pages of Sarah Palin’s government e-mails on Friday, nearly three years after the initial public records requests were made.

At 9 a.m. Alaska time (1 p.m. Eastern), 17 media organizations and individuals will each get five 50-pound boxes of printed out and partially redacted copies of emails spanning from the beginning of Palin’s term as governor through September 2008, capturing most of the presidential campaign. They won’t cover the election itself, its aftermath or her resignation as governor in the summer of 2009.

The release will only include Palin’s correspondence from her state e-mail, as well as e-mail from her personal account to state employees. The e-mails getting released do not cover any communications from her McCain campaign address.

And though there are high hopes, the former Alaska governor predicted recently on Fox News Sunday there likely won’t be much new in the e-mails. “Every rock in the Palin household that could ever be kicked over and uncovered anything, it’s already been kicked over,” she said.

The public records requests were first made soon after John McCain picked Palin as his vice presidential nominee, touching off a long, and at times bizarre, paper chase. When the media outlets first requested the e-mails, Palin’s office pegged the price for producing them at $15 million. The fee eventually fell to $725.97. State officials then blamed technical problems for not being able to provide all of the e-mails until now – and now claim they were unable to create an electronic copy.

Several news organizations are planning to post some or all of the e-mails online, but it’s not clear how much of the e-mails will be redacted by state attorneys. When MSNBC obtained 1,200 e-mails from Palin’s husband Todd in March 2011, 243 e-mails were withheld by the governor’s office, citing executive privilege.

One of the key points of interest in the e-mails will be the run up to Palin’s selection as vice president, as well as her strained relations with the McCain campaign. Another will be how heavily Palin used her perch as governor to weigh into the so-called “Troopergate” scandal. Additionally, the e-mails could provide additional context to the situation of former aide Frank Bailey, who quoted many Palin emails in his tell-all book.

Palin’s camp has been fairly quiet about the release of the e-mails, but have previously complained about the pursuit of her correspondence as governor – some of which come from the personal Yahoo accounts of Palin and her husband.

In March of last year, after MSNBC ran a story on the previous batch of e-mails showing the extremely hands-on approach Todd Palin took in dealing with his wife’s staff, then-Palin family attorney Thomas Van Flein sent a fiery 600-word response accusing the reporting of being inaccurate.

Though some of the e-mails could prove embarrassing for Palin, her fights with the McCain campaign have been extensively reported and much of their content will likely deal with old or ultra-local Alaska news.

The next batch of e-mails spanning from the end of the presidential campaign until Palin’s resignation as governor is still being sought by several news organizations, including the Los Angeles Times.

  1. Washington is making up all the headlines and the stories for the media to report on. Want proof? Sarah Palin’s emails will be released on Friday.

How many coincidences does it take to make something more than a coincidence?

    Sarah Palin a Maverick
    John McCain a Maverick
Maverick Mark Cuban appears to be the Rich Jerk in the Rich Jerk videos
Robert Johnson Rich Jerk appears to be Tony Rezko who sold Obama real estate
Sarah Palin’s basketball name (Barrac-uda) as in Barack-uda
    Barack Obama’s basketball name (O’Bomber)
Mr. internet technology (Ma)verick (Ma)rk Cuba-n was under investigation of insider trading for a company called (Ma)mma. Sarah Palin coined the phrase “(ma)(ma) grizzly” (Ma)verick (Ma)rk Cuban produced a movie through (Ma)gnolia Pictures called Redacted. Sarah Palin’s 24,199 emails will have a lot of information which will be “redacted.” Why not release 24,000 emails, why the strange number? The Rich Jerk program originally sold for $199, must be another odd coincidence. Probably as odd as the first testimonial on The Rich Jerk site being from Mark Joyner, who’s actually FBI most wanted terrorist Seif al-Adel.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, Sarah Palin is a federally fabricated person. Her identity as governor of Alaska was fabricated by the feds. If I’m making all of this up, she would sue me, and the FBI and secret service would arrest me. Sarah’s last name is short for palindrome. George SOROS(a palindrome) has been credited with collapsing a number of nations currencies and speaks of a New World Order.

    Osama Bin Laden is also a code;
    (Os) ?
    (ama) ?
    (Bi) ?
    (nla) ?
    (den) ?
Osama is the look alike for Obama/Biden (Bi)nla(den)
