Monday morning brought reports of yet another migrant boat calamity in the Mediterranean Sea, as survivors of Sunday’s boat crash – carrying as many as 950 passengers – still number at just over two dozen.
The death toll from Sunday’s crash may make it the worst disaster in the Mediterranean in years. Meanwhile, EU officials are meeting to address the ongoing tide of migrants from war-torn countries, many of whom attempt to cross by boat and lose their lives in the voyage.
