Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of burning an Israeli flag on Lag Ba’Omer. Two teenagers were also detained on suspicion of flag burning.
Police are continuing to search for the extremists who threw effigies of IDF soldiers into bonfires on Lag Ba’Omer Sunday night. “The Israel Police will continue its activities, [and is] determined to find and bring to justice all of those involved.”
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said that a criminal investigation into the burning of the effigies of the soldiers had been opened.
“During the Lag Ba’Omer we were exposed to the despicable phenomenon of hanging and burning of puppets in the form of IDF soldiers. We must state that this ugly phenomenon of contempt for IDF soldiers serving the country is a despicable phenomenon that must be fought until we completely destroy it,” Erdan said. These people are the enemy of the Jewish people…And you can figure out easily which “people” I’m referring to…
they are not enemys of the Jewish people, they cry out loud because Hashem is in pain.
I agree. The government of the state of Israel and its military apparatus are enemies of the Jewish people.
Nice spin, but exactly what law have they broken? Just because you don’t agree with someone’s political views, that’s enough to get arrested?! If that’s the case, why don’t we EVER see these filthy rabid Jew hating Arabs ever get arrested??? You have Arab MK’s on the floor of the Knesset condemning & threatening the very existence of the State of Israel and NOTHING happens to them! Talk about a double standard.
The law changed in 2016 and now someone who burns an Israeli flag could face up to 3 years in jail (http://www.jns.org/news-briefs/2016/7/19/flag-burners-now-face-up-to-3-years-in-jail-in-israel-after-knesset-amends-law#.WD2XMPmLTyQ=)

They should treat Hamas as harsh as they treat these guys.
What about the liberal Tel-Aviv college students who burn Israeli flags? Do they get arrested?
