Leadership and Marketing Update from H. LEINER & CO.
How many types of goals should you aim to achieve?
Your answer should be 3 types of goals:
- ESSENTIAL GOALS: These focus on daily activities that need improvement in order to be successful. These goals are repetitious, constant, and necessary for ongoing success.
- PROBLEM-SOLVING GOALS: These identify a current problem or opportunity and a solution. These goals are necessary for continued growth, but will not be harmful if they are not accomplished.
- INNOVATIVE GOALS: These improve the current condition. These goals are not solutions to problems, but rather are about making your organization even better than it already is, even if there is nothing wrong with it now.
You should be setting all 3 types of goals so that you don’t underestimate your abilities. It is also important to differentiate between each of these in order to know how to properly prioritize each one.
