freedom-towerFour men who base-jumped from the top of One World Trade Center in September were arrested Monday and charged with burglary, reckless endangerment, and jumping from a structure. James Brady, Kyle Hartwell, and Marko Markovich climbed the building on Sept. 30, and parachuted down 1,300 feet, while Andrew Rossig kept lookout, according to a lawyer for Rossig.

“These men violated the law and placed themselves, as well as others, in danger. These arrests should send a message to anyone thinking about misusing a landmark this way,” said NYPD Commissioner William Bratton. Their lawyer said the men “were very professional, very controlled. There was nothing haphazard or reckless about it.”

Brady at the time was a construction worker at the site, and like the boy who recently sneaked to the top, they climbed through a hole in the fence. Video footage of the jump was found during a search of the men’s homes. Watch it here.
