6 Arrested in London Shul Attack

london-shul-attackPolice arrested six people in connection to a drunken attack on a London shul that was reportedly considered anti-Semitic on Sunday.

The group were allegedly drunk when they attempted to get into a shul in Stamford Hill early Sunday, police said. One man made an anti-Semitic comment while another trying to stop the attackers was punched in the face.

The six men were held for public order offenses and assault, police said.

“At this early stage, there is no suggestion that this was a far-right or extremist attack but rather the completely unacceptable actions of a drunken group,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. Read more at the BBC.
