62 Across 11 States Sick From Tuna

This might be bad news for the Nine Days, when fish is on the menu.

Sixty-two people across 11 states have been infected by raw tuna-related salmonella, according to an investigation update released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The investigation found that raw tuna is likely the source of the outbreak, as most of the infected reported eating sushi made with raw tuna in the week before getting sick.

Osamu Corporation, a seller of yellowfin tuna from a processing plant in Indonesia, has recalled all frozen tuna and one lot of frozen tuna chunk meat. The CDC advises restaurants not to sell any of the recalled products. Read more at CDC.gov.
