The government has arranged that seven percent of new civil service job openings for the next three years will be earmarked for chareidim after Bechadrei Chareidim publicized that a civil service positive discrimination law issued over a year ago was not being implemented.

The ministry for social equality will also provide courses to provide them with necessary academic degrees and English skills.

  1. The Zionists would do anything to integrate chareidim with chilonim. If their forced draft doesn’t work, as we see, they’ll find civil service jobs for them and even employment, as long as they’re out of yeshivos and kollelim and eventually become one of theirs.

    • People also need jobs! The better question is why only 7% ,when we’re at least double that percentage of the population?A lot of fruma would like nice cushy government jobs.

  2. I wish they would do this her in united states . If u look at let’s say NYC percentsge of population of orthodox Jews, it’s not the same percentage of civil service employees the city employs. Clear discrimination, they don’t make it possible for orthodox Jews to intergrate. They get away with it because Jews are not considered a minority group in US

    • You are right. I applied for a City job here in NYC and even though I was clearly head & shoulders more qualified than the other applicants, I was rejected because of my Jewishness. If you ever go to their job fares, it is frightening who you are waiting in line with.

    • such narrow-minded tripe!Even if our men are working studying Torah ,there’s easily a lot of frum women who can fill these jobs, let’s just hope they are paid the same as their secular counterparts which isn’t true in most places in Israel!

  3. Why hate the orthodox? They will not be the outsider for long.

Let it be seen that orthodox grows and secular knows.

Torah is indeed real and given by Hashem to Moses.

Fight for your reasoning. It is not a society that should be any different.

    Men have to eat.

  4. Reply to Discrimination 101, if you went to a job fare, I could understand why you weren’t hired. I would recommend instead of going to a job fare, go instead to a job fair. Better chance of getting a job thrre.
