74% of Jews Say They Would Leave France

france-kevorimNearly three quarters of France’s Jews seriously contemplate leaving the country, thanks to anti-Semitism and fears they cannot “preserve their Judaism.”

According to a new survey published Tuesday, 74 percent said they were considering leaving France. Of those 30 percent cited anti-Semitism as the reason and 24 percent said they were motivated to emigrate in order to maintain their Jewish identity. Twelve percent said they were attracted to other countries, while 8 percent said economic considerations drove their desire to leave. Almost all Jews-95 percent-expressed concerns about anti-Semitism. A majority agreed “Jews have no future in France.”
