Eighty-eight out of 100 U.S. senators signed a letter to President Barack Obama expressing “grave concern” over the unity government between Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah party and the terrorist group Hamas.
Initiated by Sens. Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Susan Collins (R-ME), the senators said that the new Palestinian government is a “serious setback to efforts to achieve peace.”
Hamas has refused to recognize the Middle East Quartet (U.S., Russia, European Union, and United Nations) principles of recognizing Israel, renouncing terror, and adhering to previous agreements.
“By its actions and inaction, Hamas has demonstrated it is not a partner for peace,” the letter said.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) said it “commends the bipartisan group of 88 senators that sent a letter to President Obama expressing grave concern over the recent formation of a Palestinian Authority (PA) unity government supported by the terrorist organization Hamas.”
The letter reiterates the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006, which prohibits America from providing funding to any Palestinian government that is controlled by, shares power with, or is influenced by Hamas. Its submission to Obama follows an earlier request by the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on the Middle East for Secretary of State Kerry to explain the State Department’s decision to work with the new Hamas-aligned government.

Not going to make a difference. Hussain Obama will give them anything they want. He will increase our tax dollars to fly over there and support those terrorists. If the terrorists bomb Israel, Susan Rice will take to the microphone and tell the world that someone in Texas insulted a Muslem so its ok.
