candle-small5Monsey, NY – It is with great sadness that we report the passing of a 9-year-old Monsey boy who had been hospitalized after he was struck by a van on Maple Avenue yesterday.

The boy, who lives on Decatur Ave., suffered serious head trauma and was taken to Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla by Hatzolah.

The boy was standing on the corner of Decatur Avenue when he apparently saw his school bus approaching east along Maple Avenue around 8:38 a.m.

The boy then ran into the street and was struck by a 1998 GMC van travelling west on Maple Avenue.

The school bus driver later told police that he was making a scheduled pick-up at the intersection when the accident occurred .

According to the school bus driver, the bus lights were flashing at the time, but the vehicle had not come to a complete stop, police said.

The driver of the van, a 63-year-old resident of Shikun Skver, was not injured.

  1. we all want all the TZAROS to end! so lets face it what are doing about it to end it? Has klal yisroel started doing teshuva? Has achdus been returned to klal yisroel-on all levels of yiddishkeit-or is there still tons of sinas chinam?-HOW CAN MASHIACH & THE GEULA COME WHEN THE SINAS CHINAM TODAY IS WORSE THEN WHEN THE SECOND BAIS HAMIKDOSH WAS DESTROYED?

note:this is why 1)Rubashkin 2)Japan boys 3)Emanual in Israel etc… Happened. there needs to be achdus in ALL OF klal yisroel for mashiach to come

  2. We need to make sure that our children understand that it’s NEVER EVER safe to cross a street without looking both ways FIRST.
