chaim-dovid-zweibel-1The New York City Board of Elections has announced that the deadline by which a voter must be registered in order to participate in this year’s November elections is Friday, October 9.
If you have not as yet registered, we urge you to do so. Registration forms may be obtained from various sources, including your local post office, public library, or online at www.vote.nyc.ny.us.

Much is at stake in this year’s election. In this tight economy, with our families, yeshivos, and communal institutions struggling mightily, it is especially important that our representatives in city government recognize that we are a community that votes. As Gedolei Yisroel have repeatedly emphasized, voting is both an expression of hakoras hatov to the benevolent land where we reside and an act of shtadlanus to protect and promote our most vital interests.

So please, if you are not already registered to vote, take a few minutes to do so between now and Friday, October 9, so that you can make your voice heard on Election Day.
