mbd[Photos below.] Every so often, a group of dedicated and selfless individuals team up and create a moment of pure joy. This past week, through the tireless efforts of Misameach NJ, Yitzie Schwartz, and a

number of others, a moment like this was born.

The King of Jewish music, Mordechai Ben David, in a rare and special occasion, went on a mission to the Midwest to uplift and inspire people in need. Accompanied by the musician and sound engineer Yitzie Schwartz, the group flew out early Thursday morning, on the private jet of Eli Row.

The first stop was Cincinnati, OH, where MBD gave a two-hour private performance for a few seriously ill children in the lobby of the main hospital. Next, they travelled to the city of Detroit, where MBD performed with Yitzie again, in another private kumzitz for a Misameach patient.

It is things like this which make Klal Yisroel so special; which distinguish us from the rest of the world.

Kudos to Misameach, Mordechai Ben David, Eli Row, Yitzie Schwartz, Isaac Lieder, and others for making this dream a reality.

  1. The dedication and genuine caring of Misameach volunteers is extraordinary. They also generally keep a very low profile; not interested in the kovod, just the chesed. Ashrei Chelkom!

  2. Great article. I was there and I can attest to the fact that 99% of what Misameach does is not released to the media. This is just a drop in the proverbial bucket, as the cliche goes…
