The 19-year-old accused of killing 17 people at his former high school in February wants to donate his six-figure inheritance to the families of the victims, an attorney for Nikolas Cruz told a judge on Wednesday.

The Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that defense attorney Melisa McNeill told a judge that Cruz wishes to donate his $800,000 inheritance to an organization of the families’ choice.

“He would like that money donated to an organization that the victims’ families believe could facilitate healing in our community,” McNeill said.

  1. Why should he have the right to choose? Who is paying for his lawyer? Who is paying for his incarceration?
And he should get the death penalty, not have a say in anything.

  2. Are the teachers and students who were interviewed during the shooting stating there were several shooters in SWAT gear (none of which were Cruz as he was walking alongside one of the interviewers) still alive? Or did they get suicided?

Poor kid. They think they can do whatever they want with an orphan even take his money from him.
