ahmadinejadIranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran was determined to eradicate Israel, ISNA news agency reported today. “Iran believes that whoever is for humanity should also be for eradicating the Zionist regime (Israel) as symbol of suppression and discrimination,” Ahmadinejad said in an interview with a Lebanese television network, carried by ISNA.
“Iran follows this issue (the eradication of Israel) with determination and decisiveness and will never ever withdraw from this standpoint and policy,” the Iranian president added in the interview with the Al-Manar network.

The remarks by Ahmadinejad came one day before the annual anti-Israeli rallies named Qods (Jerusalem) Day, which are held nationwide in Iran on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Ahmadinejad on Monday said that Iranians and Muslim nations worldwide should hold Qods rallies and show their willingness to dispose of this “infectious tumor and this regime full of rascality.”

The Iranian president provoked international condemnation in 2005 when he said that Israel should be eliminated from the map of the Middle East and transferred to Europe or North America.

  1. Now if Obama would consider adding Iran to his list of US military interventions, that would be a plus. I guess Obama is only concerned when arabs kill arabs and not, c”v, Jews or Americans. Why was Obama not fired yet?

  2. This shoita is probably not ever kusher liaidis. And besides this man should not be believed when he talks in Irans name. Because Iran was one of Israels strongest supporters untill the revolution in 79. And so eventualy this coward will be overthrown like is happening in all the other revolutions materialising in the Middle East. Hopefully one day his fate will be the same as Sadam Hussain of Iraq, Mubarak of Egypt, and Qadafi.

  3. #2, you mention Iran “was one of Israel’s strongest supporters until the revolution in ’79”, as though there is some benefit in that today.

  4. Many have tried before, and have all become part of history. We are still here. It’s time for Iran to become part of history too.

  5. President Ahmedinejad was showing some signs of getting better like an alcoholic on a detox program but it looks like he has slipped back to the bottle again. His addiction with destroying the evil Zionist state is getting tiring. He is also giving off mixed messages. Last week the Iranian leadership clique said that they would resume nuclear talks with the P5+1. The meeting in Istanbul in January on this issue was promising. The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is trying to get them to see reason. The Iranians must be very careful. Intention is everything. If he really wants to carry through with his threat of violent action against Israel he will lose and the Iranian people will suffer. There could be a terrible war and many people will die but the Iranians will be the biggest losers. Israel, America and their other allies could seriously hurt the Iranian nation if they were pushed to do so. Hopefully this talk to the Lebanese news outlet was just bluster and pandering to an audience. The proof of the pudding is in the coming days and weeks in regards to Iranian foreign policy announcements regarding the nuclear talks. If the Iranian leadership clique is secretly happy with all the violence in the Holy Land and that Israelis are dying or being hurt they are going to reap the whirlwind.
