Ahmed Mohamed’s family is demanding $15 million and a formal apology from City Hall and the Irving Independent School District to avoid a lawsuit for the incident in which he was arrested and his homemade clock was confiscated earlier this year.
The family’s attorney claims that police illegally interrogated Mohamed and that officials, including Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne tried to smear him after the fact. Read more at The Dallas Morning News.
