Ainikel of Chacham Ovadiah Yosef, 24 Hours After Wedding, Miraculously Survives Accident

chacham-ovadiah-yosef24 hours after standing under the chupah at their wedding, a chosson and kallah experienced a miracle, surviving a frightening automobile accident.

The chosson, Avrohom Binyomin Yosef, a son of Rav Yaakov Chai Yosef and a grandson of Chacham Ovadiah Yosef, got married on Monday at the Nof Yerushalayim Hall. He was driving last night with his kallah to their sheva brachos in Ashdod. As they were traveling on Route 3, they were stopped at a red light when an Egged bus came speeding down the roadway and plowed right into their vehicle from behind. The vehicle was totaled, but the chosson and kallah miraculously emerged unscathed.

Witnesses who saw the accident were breathless as they waited to see if any occupants of the car had survived. It was with sheer relief – and shock – that they watched as the young couple emerge from the mangled vehicle virtually untouched.

The chosson and kallah were taken in a different car to their sheva brachos, reportedly not telling any of the assembled guests what had just occurred. This morning, they were both examined by a doctor who confirmed that they have no injuries whatsoever due to the accident.

The incident will long be remembered by the grateful couple, who will be extra joyous onĀ Purim, celebrating their own personal yeshuah.
