Tony Fernandes, the CEO of AirAsia, tweeted early Wednesday morning that “I am led to believe the tail section has been found.”
If it turns out to be true, that would be huge, given that, as Fernandes notes, if it’s the right part the black box should be there.
The plane was lost on the way from Surabaya, Indonesia, to Singapore on Dec. 28, with 162 people aboard. Read more at Twitter.
