Searchers say that they have recovered one of the AirAsia black boxes just one day after lifting the tail section of the plane out of the Java Sea. Divers retrieved the flight data recorder from under part of the plane’s wing, according to Henry Bambang Soelistyo, head of the national search and rescue agency.

Searchers will work to find the second black box, the cockpit voice recorder, in order to better understand what caused Flight 8501 to crash on Dec. 28, killing 162 people on board.

The black box will be taken to Jakarta for analysis, but could take up to two weeks to download the data, according to authorities. Three more bodies were also identified on Sunday, including a couple from South Korea. Read more at the BBC.
