  1. What can be added to this story is that American Pharoah is owned by Egyptian-American Ahmed Zayat, a/k/a Ephraim Zayat, a graduate of Yeshiva University who later worked for the great philanthropist Zev Wolfson (a”h). The Zayat family is frum and lives in Teaneck, NJ. Who could ever have imagined that an Orthodox Jew would be involved in the Triple Crown of thoroughbred racing?

  2. Jab your side a little bit. A jew owning a horse that runs a triple crown race is about as special asbuying war bonds for the sake of a luxury hawk of war.

This is special no matter how you look at it.

His faith is blessed and his day at the races is just another day with good moods I hope.

I hope it was a good event.

  3. yes, the owner is an observant jew born in Eygypt. He has given large donation to erect the zichron Binyamin shul in Lakewood with his and wife’s name on it .
