PETA has lost its mind once again.

They’ve lived behind bars for over 100 years, but the animals on the box of Barnum’s Animals Crackers have finally been freed. Following pressure from PETA, the parent company of Nabisco redesigned the packaging of its crackers to remove the metal cages. The new box shows the iconic zebra, elephant, lion, giraffe, and gorilla roaming free.

“When PETA reached out about Barnum’s, we saw this as another great opportunity to continue to keep this brand modern and contemporary,” said Jason Levine, Mondelez’s chief marketing officer for North America, in a statement. PETA celebrated the change, with Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman saying: “The new box for Barnum’s Animals crackers perfectly reflects that our society no longer tolerates the caging and chaining of wild animals for circus shows.” Read more at CBS News.

  1. Liberals who compare themselves to animals and want complete open borders, the release of all prisoners, want lawlessness and freedom for 4-legged animals too.

  2. PETA is totally “crackers”! But, having the animals on the box roam freely won’t harm anyone, as long as PETA doesn’t campaign to free real zoo animals.

  3. Reminds me of when they forced Disneyland to stop “shooting” the hippo on the Jungle Safari. Making believe to shoot a fake hippo with a fake rifle. Next they’ll ban imagination!
