snow4Weather-weary New Jerseyans are bracing for another snowstorm. But forecasters say it won’t be as severe as the two nor’easters that socked the state in recent days.

Those storms combined to drop more than two feet of snow in many areas and knocked out power for tens of thousands of utility customers, including a handful who were still without electricity on Sunday afternoon.

Snow showers and flurries are possible this afternoon, but a more steady snow was expected to start falling tonight and continue through Tuesday morning.

AccuWeather is calling for accumulations of 1-3 inches in and around the City and Long Island, 3-6 inches well North and West of the city.

Moderate accumulations were expected in northern and central areas while lighter amounts were predicted in southern areas, where the snow will likely mix with rain.
