Apple, Microsoft, IBM Execs To Attend White House Summit

Top executives from Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle and IBM are planning to attend an upcoming White House summit with technology leaders, Bloomberg reports.

The summit, set to take place later this month, will be the inaugural meeting of the American Tech Council — a new advisory group Trump established in an executive order May 1 that is led by Jared Kushner, President Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law.

Among the group’s expressed goals are to “coordinate advice to the President related to policy decisions and processes regarding the Federal Government’s use of information technology.” The group is also expected to address cloud computing. Read more at The Hill.
