Arab Israeli Member of Knesset Hanin Zoabi was convicted of insulting a public servant and received a suspended sentence of six months in jail and a fine of NIS 3,000 ($770), TPS reports.

MK Zoabi of the Joint List was filmed shouting at Arab policemen outside a court in Nazareth on July 6, 2014 and calling them “traitors.”

Zoabi admitted guilt in the offense in a plea bargain with the Nazareth Magistrates Court on Sunday, February 7 after she gave up her parliamentary immunity in order to avoid a more serious charge of incitement.
