abbasArab states agreed to provide the Palestinian Authority with a $100 million monthly “financial safety net” to help President Mahmoud Abbas’s government cope with an economic crisis after the United Nations granted de facto statehood to “Palestine.”

Israel has responded to the Nov. 29 UN vote by ordering 3,000 Jewish settler homes be built in the occupied West Bank and announced it would hold back payments of customs duties it collects on behalf of the Palestinians to pay an outstanding electricity bill.

  1. Sorry, the tax money is from Palestinians. It’s only collected by the Israeli government. That’s why the PR is so bad for us. They’re behind on their infrastructure bills, but people don’t see that. They only see that they are paying taxes and not getting them back.

The Israeli government are geniuses at messing up their PR.

  2. And by the way, all that money is going to come with some influence. We won’t be dealing with just the Palestininians any more. It’s going to be, second-hand, with Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, etc. Sone of them like us even less.
