Apparently the prosecutor whose sudden, mysterious death has mystified Argentina had drafted an arrest warrant for the nation’s president, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
Alberto Nisman had accused de Kirchner of trying to shield Iranian officials from responsibility in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires.
The 26-page document was found in the trash at Nisman’s apartment and also called for the arrest of Hector Timerman, Argentina’s foreign minister.
Nisman was found dead at his apartment on Jan. 18 with a gunshot wound to his head. Read more at the New York Times.
