There will be a second day of marches in and around St. Louis to mark the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.

On Sunday, more than 1,000 people peacefully took to the streets in Ferguson, but the scene turned violent at night. Police shot a man who they say opened fire on their vehicle (he is listed in critical condition in a nearby hospital). Two others were shot in a drive-by shooting.

Protesters plan to stage a sit-in at the federal courthouse today and are demanding the disbandment of the Ferguson Police Department. Read more at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
