The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons released a report detailing that over the last three years, they have found traces of deadly nerve agents in labs around Syria which the country had insisted were not part of the chemical weapons program. Now, it is in question as to whether Syria actually followed its commitment to destroy all of its chemical weapons.
Soman and VX, two precursors for chemical warfare were discovered at a number of previously undeclared facilities near Damascus, fueling the speculation that President Bashar al-Assad may not have destroyed all the armaments. Read more at FOREIGN POLICY.
