yehudah-glick-rally1Several hundred people gathered in central Yerushalayim’s Safra Square last night to pray for the recovery of Yehudah Glick, the far-right activist who was severely injured in an attempted assassination on Wednesday night, and to back Glick’s demands for the right to Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount.

Glick, who was hit at point blank range by four bullets, is in serious condition in Shaare Zedek Medical Center, but doctors said his condition was gradually improving.

His wife Yafa told the rally that “The Creator is waiting for us to ascend to Him at the Temple Mount,” the NRG Hebrew website reported, and that there had to be freedom of religious practice at the site. She also stressed that her husband was a peaceful activist who “wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

  1. I don’t think this lady has any idea what Hashems waiting for. Ascending Har habayis isnt halachically permitted. Maybe start with tznius, limud torah, shalom etc. Just sayen

  2. Watch the drama. G-d is not one who “waits”. Jews are no different today than any time in history. Sin is still the same and every jew has an eye.

This sort of pro right-wing propaganda glamorized by the now suffering of a man on the wrong track who was shot for personal aggression is dismal in our history.

G-d does not wait. G-d offers hope.

Our people are blessed to see tomorrow and Israel has no firm discretion for any such magnaminous event without G-ds help.

So if you want to pray on the Temple Mount, wait for Hashem to put out Temple back there himself.

If it comes in our lifetime, we are blessed.

    Baruch Hashem.

  3. The Creator is waiting for us to serve Him properly. I don’t recall going on the har habayis in our state of tumah as the antidote to all our problems and the way for serving Hashem properly.

  4. I wish Mr Glick a Refuah Sh’leima B’karov.
His wife is being a bit presumptuous though, telling us what our Creator wants. Our Creator Himself already told us what He wants, through His Nevi’im HaKedoshim.
Personally, I’m wondering what’s going on at matzav.com.
    Am I the only one?

  5. According to the Poskei Hador one is absolutely forbidden to visit the Temple Mount, and there is an Issur Kares for one that goes there.

Four years ago on Sukkos, Israeli President Shimon Peres paid a visit to the Sukkah of Maran Hagon Rav Elyashiv ZATZAL, where Rav Elyashiv called on the President to prevent Jews from visiting Har HaBayis, stating it is an act that that is viewed as extremely provocative by the goyim. Maran stated everything possible must be done to avoid a religious war, and the provocateurs are playing with fire.

Maran is quoted as explaining to the president that Halacha forbids going onto Har HaBayis but today, it is more than this, it is an act that may lead to a religious war and bloodshed.

This is and remains the view of poskei hador. This is also the view of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Among the rabbonim who share this view are HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein Shlita, Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita, Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L, Maran Hagon HaRav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv ZT”l and many others.
