IDF forces shot a Palestinian man this morning in Shuafat, Yerushalayim, when he approached then with a knife in order to carry out a terror stabbing attack.
Boruch Hashem, no Israeli officers were hurt.
The Palestinian attacker, Yihya Hijazi, suffered only minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Palestinian media claimed that Hijazi was merely trying to help another Palestinian being detained by Israeli border police.
