Nearly 20 children have died this year due to being left in hot cars, according to Safe Kids Worldwide policy director Tony Green.

An average of 37 children die as a result of being left in a hot car each year, according to safety organization Kids and Cars.

“A car can heat up 106 degrees in 10 minutes, even if it’s cool or moderate weather like 80 degrees. So it’s really important for parents to remember their kids, never leave them in the backseat of a car,” Green said.

“Don’t leave them in the backseat of the car for a couple of minutes to get the dry cleaning. It’s not a good idea,” he said.

  1. Leave a pocketbook or something you will need by your children in case you think you might forget. Even very responsible parents (hopefully that would be most of us) can make a mistake lo aleiynu. May we have a safe summer

  2. another thing you can try as a reminder is to leave one of your shoes next to your child. this works for men as well
