Rav Dov Tzvi Karelenstein, rosh yeshiva of the Grodno Yeshiva in Ashdod, is said to have experienced “miraculous” improvement at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon after he required life-saving resuscitation just a day earlier.
Doctors at the hospital say that the octogenarian rosh yeshiva has shown remarkable improvement and is no longer in a life-threatening state.
Rav Karelenstein’s son-in-law, Rav Moshe Shmida, addressed the talmidim of the Grodnoa Yeshiva during first seder on Sunday. With tears in his eyes, he said, “We have seen open miracles. It is all thanks to the tefillos and Torah study of you and all of Klal Yisroel. The doctors told us last night to stop dreaming that the Rosh Yeshiva would come out of it. They are simply stunned. ”
