rav-yissocher-frand[Video and audio below.] The following teshuvah drashah was delivered last night by Rav Yissocher Frand, senior maggid shiur at Yeshivas Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, Maryland, and renowned speaker. In discussing the proper approach to teshuvah, Rav Frand also touched upon the achdus displayed amongst Klal Yisroel and our reactions to the tragic deaths of Leiby Kletzky z”l and Rav Elazar Abuchatzeira zt”l.

  1. thats what you understand what he said. actually i was there and the message you are giving with your title is the exact opposite sadly and that is unfortunate. maybe listen to speech again. we can all be tolerant and have a good year

  2. His teshuva droshos are truly inspiring…. close to two thousand ppl attend every year … in both Baltimore and new York … may hashem give him chochos to keep being machazeik klal yisroel

  3. Having heard a version of this drasha, I don’t think it matters what form the question took as the conclusion was the same….

Maybe a motto for the comment section: “We can disagree without being disagreeable.”

  4. To #5-“a big chossid”…sorry if it sounds nitpicky, but with all due respect, it is only appropriate to capitalize the “H” in H-shem. It would be one thing if your message was entirely in lower case letters (although still appropriate to capitalize H-shem) but since you made the effort to capitalize the “B” in Baltimore, it really is not K’vod Shomayim to neglect doing the same when referring to the Shem H-shem. A gut yur and by the way, I’ve been a ‘fan’ of Rabbi Frand’s teshuva drashos for many years as well.

  5. Beautiful talk, but one factual error: The tune for Kol Nidrei is not used worldwide. It is an Ashkenazi niggun. Sephardim have very different melodies for it.
