North Korea is trying to crack down on its massive smoking problem. The country has one of the world’s highest lung-cancer rates and about half of its male population smokes.
Kim Jong Un’s government has enlisted Judith Mackey, a prominent anti-tobacco campaigner, to explore options to lower the number of smokers in the country. Kim himself, of course, is an avid smoker. Read more at Bloomberg.
