Yesterday, Baba David Abuchatzeirah of Nahariya, noted mekubal, went to the kever of Rav Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron to daven for Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, who remains hospitalized at Maayanei Hayeshuah Medical Center in Bnei Brak.
Those with Baba David said that he remarked to them that Rav Shteinman represents all of Klal Yisroel, and that the letters of word Yisroel – yud, shin, reish, alef, lamid – stand for “Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib Shteinman.”
Gedolim have asked Yidden to continue davening and learning b’retzufos – three days of uninterrupted limud haTorah – as a zechus for Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib ben Gittel Faiga.
As reported yesterday on Matzav, doctors at Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital Medical Center in Bnei Brak successfully knocked out the infection that caused breathing problems for Rav Shteinman.
Dr. Avrohom Weinberger, Rav Shteinman’s personal physician, and Dr. Motty Raavid, medical director at Maayanei Hayeshuah hope that if Rav Shteinman continues making steady progress, he will be able to return home sometime early in the coming week.
In other news, Matzav has learned that extensive renovations are taking place at the home of Rav Shteinman on Rechov Chazon Ish in Bnei Brak. The aim, primarily, is to create a separation between parts of the house, to separate the many visitors who visit the house – those who come to daven at Rav Shteinman’s minyanim and those who come for brachos or guidance – and the private residence of Rav Shteinman.
