A 3-month-old baby was killed and eight others were wounded in a suspected terrorist attack in Yerushalayim today when a car plowed into passengers exiting a light rail train. The driver of the vehicle was shot by police officers and hospitalized after being detained.
“There was a suspect vehicle that hit and struck nine people that were waiting at the train stop. As a result the suspect tried to flee the scene and was shot by police officers in the vicinity,” Israeli Police Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told The Algemeiner.
The baby killed in the incident had been hospitalized at the Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital, along with two other seriously wounded pedestrians. The other injured pedestrians sustained moderate and light injuries.
