ehud-barakOutgoing Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday in his parting address that Israel faces great security challenges but that it is clearly the strongest power in the Middle East, Israel Radio reported. “There are very complex challenges ahead of us. The Iran threat is not disappearing, Syria is crumbling before our eyes, and weapons transfers to Hezbollah can take place on any day.”

Despite these challenges Barak emphasized, “Israel is clearly the strongest country in the Middle East,” adding, “we do not expect that there is a power in the region that can attack Israel with air forces and with armored divisions.”

  1. More nonsense:What has he added to our store of Knowledge? He and Peres are useless! There should be a retirement home for useless politicians

  2. “Power belongs to HaShem, not human beings who brag about power.”

Pious words indeed. But don’t forget that other religious cliché: “HaShem helps those who help themselves”.
