barkatYerushalayim Mayor Nir Barkat was in New York City on September 11, 2001. “At the end of the horrific day,” he recalled, “after watching the horror unfold, I remember the shock on the faces of people around me when we watched people dancing for joy in the streets of Gaza while New York was on fire.”

“Then I realized that September 11 was the day on which Islamic terrorism was no longer an exclusive Israeli challenge. It became global in a big, big way.”

He told the story of Danny Lewin, who was apparently the first victim of 9/11, whom he knew. Lewin’s parents, Drs. Peggy and Charles Lewin, and his brothers, Michael and Jonathan, were present at the ceremony, at Emek HaArazim near Motza.

  1. is this website trying to promote this menuval, who takes pride in anything anti-Torah
he is the so called jewish leader of the Holy City. woe unto us to be treaded upon by such lowly spineless creatures.
may we see the ultimate redemtion soon.

  2. Quite ironic how the MEDIA has forgotten who the terrorists were: ISLAMIST terrorists. (the same people who are looking for validity of their newest terrorist state called ‘Palestine’)

  3. Shalom –
This is just an idea that may have some merit.
Surely there must be video of the Palestinians in Gaza Dancing on 9/11.
Why doesn’t the Israeli Government send that video to all the U.N delegates, embassy’s,and Foreign Ministers. It just might influence some decision makers who vote at the UN.
