In a Tuesday fundraising email, Bernie Sanders advanced his rivalry with Hillary Clinton by connecting her to GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
The Clinton campaign and its supporters have accused Sanders fans of “giving aid and comfort” to Trump, the email said. “Let me be clear, there is one candidate in this Democratic primary who Donald Trump said would make a ‘great president,’ and it’s not Bernie Sanders,” the note continued, subtly referring to the reality TV star’s praise of former Secretary of State Clinton.
