65657440Vice President Joe Biden spoke with business and political leaders from 51 African nations this week, but unfortunately the gaffe-prone politician referred to the entire continent as a single country, CBS reports.

“There is no reason the nation of African cannot, and should not, join the ranks of the world’s most prosperous nations,” Biden told leaders at the U.S.-African Business Forum in Washington. Biden assured those in attendance for the summit that “America is betting on Africa.”

“It’s never, ever been a good bet to bet against America, and America is betting on Africa. The idea, the idea and the reality are just tantalizing. The possibilities are immense. We are betting on each other,” he said. “Africa on America and America on Africa.”

Biden explained that American businesses will begin “showing up” in Africa to compete with Chinese and European businesses.

Someone should let the Veep know that Africa is a continent, not a country.

  1. Israel should smile at Joe Biden. Gifts from heaven can see a friend in every smile. He sure gets to make the gaffe newsreels though! Smart lucky guy for being a limit on his own friendship. Funny.

  2. This was no “gaffe”. The President is a Kenyan.
Never the less, Uncle Joe should retire to the dog track. They’re serving their happy meal, about now.
