Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, will attend NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos’s funeral service this weekend by request of President Obama.
Ramos was one of two NYPD officers who were gunned down last weekend amidst nation-wide tension between police and the community.
“The President has asked Vice President Biden to attend the service for Officer Rafael Ramos and is grateful that the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will be traveling to New York City at attend the service on Saturday,” spokesman Eric Schultz said in a statement. Read more at NBC.
