Bill And Hillary Clinton Are ‘Livid’ At Comparisons To Weiner

bill-clintonBill and Hillary Clinton are angry with efforts by mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner and his campaign to compare his scandals – and his wife Huma Abedin’s forgiveness – to the Clintons’ notorious White House saga, The NY Post reports.

“The Clintons are upset with the comparisons that the Weiners seem to be encouraging – that Huma is ‘standing by her man’ the way Hillary did with Bill, which is not what she in fact did,” said a top state Democrat.

Weiner and his campaign aides have explicitly referred to the Clintons as they privately seek to convince skeptical Democrats that voters can back Weiner despite his problems, just as they supported then-President Bill Clinton in the face of repeated allegations.

“The Clintons are [angry] that Weiner’s campaign is saying that Huma is just like Hillary,” said the source, according to the Post. “How dare they compare Huma with Hillary? Hillary was the first lady. Hillary was a senator. She was secretary of state.”

A longtime Hillary aide and Clinton friend, Abedin’s surprisingly unequivocal support of her husband after his admission Tuesday and after he resigned in disgrace from Congress in 2011 left the Clintons stunned, continued the source.

“Hillary didn’t know Huma would do this whole stand-by-your-man routine, and that’s one of the reasons the Clintons are distancing themselves from all this nonsense,” the source said.

  1. Bill is far worse than Anthony Either if head of a corporation would be told by the board of directors to step down. Bill, if he had any shame would have left the public eye. Anthony should also leave the public eye.

  2. Matching. Pair the correct politician with his/her description. Each answer can be used once, more than once, or not at all (not likely).

    1) Has serious compulsion issues and has a sham marriage.

    2) Will spend the State’s money to engage in fraudulent investigations to further political gains.

    3) Will undermine the will of the people by circumventing term limit laws.

    4) Is a degenerate who engages in immoral behavior.

    5) Is a proud and vocal supporter of women’s rights and issues (no…seriously).

    6) Is a staunch Democrat and supporter of Obama. (Not the other way around).

    7) Supports marriage, just not in the traditional sense.

    8) Thinks the other candidate should not run.

    9) Forced out of office because of a scandal.

    10) Resigned from his elected office to save face and blamed everyone else.

Choices: A) Anthony Weiner B) Elliot Spitzer C) Christine Quinn D) Bill Thompson

    Good Luck !
