Bill Clinton Speaks Out Against Childhood Obesity


clintonBill Clinton is officially back at work. Just days after undergoing a procedure to unclog a blocked artery, the former president is talking about an important subject: childhood obesity. It can lead to early heart disease, diabetes and other health problems.

Clinton is giving an update this afternoon about the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. It works to promote heart health.

Clinton went home from the hospital Friday. He quickly informed reporters that he felt “great” and had already done “a couple miles on the treadmill.”

On Thursday, just before he was wheeled into the operating room, Clinton was talking about Haiti earthquake relief. An aide finally took the phone away from him.

On Tuesday, Clinton attended the Pennsylvania funeral for Congressman John Murtha.
